One of the main goals of the project is to establish a consulting eco-management network for air protection. Tasks of the experts of the network include coordination of local project activities in the given municipalities, participation at awareness-raising activities, active contribution to the development of municipal mobility plans and workplace travel plans, furthermore guidance to facilitate the submission of successful applications funded by local and EU sources to improve air quality.
The eco-manager offices will be established in 10 municipalities, in OMSZ, AMKE and HOI. The coordinator of the eco-manager network will be the Eco-Manager Knowledge Centre (EKC) established within the framework of HOI. The coordination and supporting activities of the Ecomanagers network will be provided by the EKC. The EKC will not only offer continuous technical support, but it will also ensure further trainings regularly for the eco-managers. By establishing the eco-manager network all the municipalities will set up an eco-manager office in order to provide a place where eco-managers can carry out their tasks, where they can meet residents, can provide information for locals or organize events.
In every municipality proper eco-managers will be selected, who will be able to carry out the tasks of the project. They will play a very important role for the municipalities in the implementation of different activities related to the implementation and revision of air quality plans, environmental awareness raising and consultation with residents and stakeholders.
Eco-Managers’ main role and tasks will be the revision of the air quality plans in each phase of the project with the cooperation of different stakeholders, creating scenarios for air quality action plans, run in the modelling application tool. They will provide energy efficiency guidance for inhabitants and support the residential energy efficiency credit program (complementary action).
They will be responsible for monitoring of the potential financial resources for environmental and air protection projects, revision and implementation of the awareness raising plans, communication with the EKC, looking for potential stakeholders, and cooperation with NGOs inducing complementary actions.
