Pruning is the most common spring gardening chore and often results in garden waste that many people are unsure how to handle. The municipality of Miskolc assists residents by distributing compost frames for free as part of the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project.
Thanks to the cooperation between the University of Miskolc and the Miskolc County Municipality, anyone can check the air quality. On the pmmonitoring.hu website, visitors can monitor current air quality data in different parts of Miskolc.
As there was previously no automatic air quality monitoring station in Békéscsaba, installation of a continuous monitoring station was one of the objectives of the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project to collect information on air quality.
The Association of Everyday Cultures conducted an online training, accredited by the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture, on “Environment friendly management in practice” for agricultural consultants and eco-managers on 25 February 2022.
The first permanent monitoring station was set up in Békéscsaba, in the county seat of Békés by the Békéscsaba City Urban Development Corporation (Békéscsabai Városfejlesztési Kft.), the partner of the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project (IP).
On 9-10 November 2021, Hungary's first environment-related LIFE Integrated Project, HungAIRy, held an international conference. It was organised by the project's coordinating beneficiary, Herman Ottó Institute Nonprofit Ltd. During the online event, European projects presented their activities, achievements and experiences in improving air quality.
Due to the high number of relevant projects and the limited timeframe of the conference, the organizers have already been contacted the leaders of the relevant projects and invited them to provide an oral presentation during the conference.
We proudly announce the “International Conference on Air Pollution – Moving Towards Clean Air for Europe” which is organized in the framework of the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project on 9-10 November 2021. The final program of the conference will be published at the end of October 2021.
A formal ceremony at the University of Miskolc was held on 2 September 2021 to officially launch the operation of the particulate matter (PM) monitoring system of the HungAIRy project during, In the framework of the project, the pmmonitoring.hu was launched where users of the site can access data on PM mass concentrations.
